she was often surrounded
by those who wanted
to love her
in their own manner
not the way
in which she wanted.

She would test
one man after another
and conclude
they don't know
what love is.

She was waiting
for her prince charming
in 21st century.
In the age when
love is a commodity
The age when lovers
converted into
dispensable
boyfriend and girlfriend
who care more
for their own freedom
than bondings.

The age of
attractive packages
and manipulated
stuff inside.

She would refuse the one
who would want
to accompany her
back to home
to ensure she is safe
And expect the same
from someone else
and then when the other
refuses and leave her
at the train station at night
would sit and cry
why can't people give her
what she needs.

She would refuse the one
who would ask her
to come to her place
and celebrate here birtday
And expect the same
from someone else
and when no one else turn up
will sit and be sad

She will always value
what's not going to be hers
and will always refuse
what wanted to be hers
She, the deprived,
owing to her own desires
sit at the window and look out
while the door was open
and she could have walked out
and felt what she saw.

A girl with a fair skin
lived her whole life sitting at the windows
while the door was wide open.

iPod Classic users have been growling for a long time for syncing iPod with Linux. The latest version of GTKPOD (0.99.12) now offers full support to iPod Classic. I am sure after reading this piece steve will definitely release a firmware for ipod classic, but you know what, I ain't gonna update it ;-)

By the way I am currently using Ubuntu 8.04, and I have never been more happy!

Who are the Linux users here?

Linux Rocks!

The feel like they rule the world. I am talking about the Linux users. I mean rest of the 95 per cent are using the crappy old Windows, they want to stand out of the crowd, they want to use something that is powerful, better and futuristic.

If you look at the 3D effects of Linux, you will find Apple Mac a kid in front of it. You can customise it to such a level that you can set up your own webserver at your PC and run a full website from your home, for free. Except the domian name and ISP charges. You need 0 knowledge of webdesigning. Tools like Joomla and Drupal will help you set up a website.

So, who wanna walk with an attitude and who wanna walk as a Windows user!

I am nowhere.
I am never.
So are you.

Life is a journey,
I am a traveler.
There is no destination,
there is no place to start
there no space to reach.
I am like a drop of rain
that exists only during the journey
from clouds towards the ground.
And then there is no existence,
there is no I.

How many options do you have when you go out to buy a bike, a car, a fridge, a television, a mobile phone and so many other things. And how many options do you have when it comes to choosing the operating system to rum your PC hardware? None. Is that so? Does the world ends with Micrsoft's Windows? And have you not gotten bored of the same old interface -- start, shut down...etc.?

But what do we do? I hope most of the people from India and other such developing must be using pirated versions of Windows as well as Office suite. This I know must be giving some sense of guilt that thay are using an stolen product. What if I tell you that you can get an operating system not as good as Widnows, but a bit better, would you believe me? No. And what if I add to that, that is is legally available for free -- with the free word processor or office suite.

You would say that I am joking in the morning. I do joke at times but not now. Not this time. I will take you to the world of GNU/Linux or Free and open source software.

Now, before I tell you about other things lets me make few things clear so you know what I am talking about. Windows is not the end. There are many alternatives of Window operating systems and they are available for free. Some could be sent to your doorsteps for free. You just give them your postal address through a sinple e-mail.

What else, you will not need to 'format' and then 'install' the operating system on your PC. Just put the DVD, CD in the drive and restart the machine, the OS will run directly from the CD, and you can start using it without even installing it. That is something you would have never even heard of in Windows' world.

If you like the operating sytem you can go ahead and install it. You will have to create some space on you hard drive for the OS, and you know what it will recognise all the windows created files, you will be able to use your documents, images and what not.

Problem area: you have been using windows since your childhood days so you may not feel confortable Linux at once, dont expect that. But it is similar to a Sony Erricson user buys a Nokia phone -- he may feel uncomfortable for a while, am I right?

So, if you want to try out the FREE and Open source software and want to know how you can get one for free, just send me a message and my next blog will tell you how you get get your own copy of free and legal operating system and stop worrying about the stolen, pirated Windows OS.

Next Blog: Are you tired of boring Internet Explorer? Try FireFox...I tell you, once you try FireFox, you will never want to return to Internet Explorer.

(Note: Windows is a good OS, but so are the others, There should be place for all, and that is where you will find Windows try to improve itself.)

We were overwhelmed by the amount of questions we recieved. It took us a whole night to sort out the best ones. The final setlist? 35 questions. We did not number them just so he doesn't get frightened by just that number. In fact, we had his answers within hours; makes me think we could have sent him a few more? Anyway, without furthur ado, here's Linus Torvalds: blunt, excellent and descriptive...

I was very excited when I started reading it, but by the time I finished it I was a bit low on spirit. I don’t know was it the effect of Chinaski or me! To a great extent we were alike, except that he changed jobs frequently while I stick to one. But the low side was same. And the courage he had to write such thing is missing in me.

I mean you can only understand what I am taking about is only when you read the book. It is a shit load(in his language), but that is something that matters. He showed the glamourless life of a struggling writer, something that I have lived for several years while my struggling days in Delhi. I also remember the crude remarks made by the person whom I was living with. I have great respect for his intellect and his knowledge, but on personal front he is a failure.

He pulled me down and called me things no one else would. I am going to write everything that he has done and others have done to me in my next novel. I think that is where Chinaski would encourage me. To be blunt and candid not only to others but to me as well.

Chinaski also showed how dirty and filthy woman can be, none of his woman was graceful. They were all fallen. In my life I have came across same woman, but there are a few graceful too. But, the grace is only as long as I am doing what they want me to do.

Indian woman are strange. They are non-ambitious, they just want a handsome fuckable guy next to them.

They are pretty interested in pretty faced who they can fantasize fucking them hard in bed and they can get wet. But, on the exterior, they would pose to be the most same person around.

I also fantasize fucking beautiful ladies, but in the end I want someone who is as intelligent as I am, if I am!

And there are very few, and those few are the only ladies I am still in touch with. Those are the ones who still held their heads up with some grace. Rest of the ladies, have their heads hanging down, looking at the cocks they think of being fucked up at night.

Arnie

 Comments

iPhone: The Good, Bad And Ugly

There is nothing in iPhone that you don't like, unless you have bought it. A lot has been written about iPhone and that has only added to the hype Steve Jobs must have been expecting. Nothing disappointed him. Now, with some 5,25,000 iPhones sold since the launch on 29 June 2007, iPhone sale has undoubtedly become one of the rages of all time. But, once people overcome the hype and really begin looking at how useful the device is, it will turn out to be a Pandora's box. However, iPhone did succeed in setting some new trends. It changed the way telecom operators worked. It changed the whole chemistry between network operators and device manufacturers, and it also changed the way people used to look at mobile phones.

There is not much point in arguing what all features iPhone has; there are thicker volumes than War and Peace written on it in the last six months. It is a good device, no doubt, but there is an ugly face to it as well. Many observers wonder why would Apple make iPhone an inferior device. It does have multi-touch screen, 4-8 GB of storage capacity. And it has an iPod too. But, what it doesn't have is video capture capacity, it is not 3G and you cannot transfer music from one device to another, the way you do with your regular smarter smartphones.

Another reason Apple has given people to hate iPhone is its battery replacement programme. Similar to iPod, you cannot replace the battery of iPhone; you will have to send it to Apple for replacement. And Apple will take at least three days to change your battery costing you around $79, plus $6.95 shipping, i.e. $85.95 per unit. In Indian currency, its around Rs 3,434.962. Besides, you will have to pay local taxes on this.

If you think you could get it done so 'cheaply', you are wrong. One of the observers said, how could you survive without a phone for three days if you have sent it for battery replcement. Apple has a solution, you can avail an AppleCare Service Phone. All the data of your iPhone will be erased during replacement process, so you need to take a backup on your iTunes and transfer this data to the AppleCare Service Phone. The only problem is you will have to pay Apple around $29 to get this AppleCare Service Phone!

But getting a AppleCare Service Phone won't come that cheap. According to Apple's iPhone Rental Terms and Conditions, "Customer will prepay Apple $29 plus applicable taxes (rental charges). In addition, a reserve against the customer’s credit card equal to the equipment replacement value of $600, plus applicable taxes (equipment replacement value) may be made at any time on or after the effective date but prior to the termination of this agreement. This reserve will be maintained by Apple and will be applied against any damage to or loss of the AppleCare Service Phone or other payments due Apple."

It continues, "If the AppleCare Service Phone is not received by Apple by the end of the rental period, customer’s credit card will be charged with the full equipment replacement Value, but if customer later returns the AppleCare Service Phone and it is received by Apple within 10 days after the end of the rental period, Apple will retain $50 as additional rental, plus applicable taxes and the cost of repair for any damage for which customer is responsible, and the remainder of the equipment replacement value will be credited to customer’s credit card. Upon termination of this agreement, and after all charges are paid in full, the reserve will be released from the credit card."

You must be having a real heavy pocket to afford this 135 grams iPhone.

In the darkness of night, there is a creature that rises from within us. It emerges only when it's dark enough inside you. When you are depressed, when you are too sad, when you are beaten; it also emerges when you achieve something, when you beat someone, when you win. This dark of us always remains with us, pulling us down towards what we are deep within -- beasts.

We try to become more human, but we fail in that very dark corner where we lose ourselves in the hand of that creature who awaits us in every moment of hope and despair -- to overtake and make us, even for a while, what we used to be -- beasts.

But, we ourselves are afraid of that beast. Because by making us what we truly are, it makes others look down on us. In the sanest moments of our lives, becoming what we are leads to shame and prejudice. No one wants to see the beast within, so they judge others if they get a glimpse of the beast in others. And then they feel gratified, they feel being better, they feel being sane and being more moral than the one whose beast they saw.

That makes difficult for us to be what we are, and forces us to wear some masks which could hide the beast living in the dark corners of our mind.

So, every time you try to be yourself, beware – they beast will break chains and set itself free.

Being free is being a beast!

We stay in the state of catterpiller for a while. We belive that it is all to life -- the cacoon. But with the change in season, we break the cacoon and turn ourselves into beautiful butterflies and fly out.

Everyone is on its way to somewhere. In life there are no cross roads, there are no interjections. Sometimes, we come across people who hold us for some time and then embark on their journey. Let them go, you may or may not meet again -- don't worry. Those who are to stay, will. And for those who choose to leave, there is no need to cherish the time you two spent together. Raise your head, look ahead, the future is wast and unknown. Embrace it, there is much more excitement awaiting you than your past had offered.

Smile...you are on the journey of life.

And, the most important lesson in life -- CRY FOR THOSE WHO DESERVE YOUR TEARS!
